Sally and I searched for nearly ten years to find the perfect thing to fill this wall in our bedroom. We finally sketched our own design, which became my first piece of furniture. There isn’t a single nail or screw used in the construction, instead using joinery techniques I had been studying. I used mahnogany faced plywood for the carcass and sliding doors, but I milled all the face frames and the base moulding from rough mahogany lumber, skill sets I was just beginning to master.
